London-listed bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain PLC (LSE:ARB, OTCQX:ARBKF, NASDAQ:ARBK, ETR:0XP) has reported a modest growth in bitcoin and bitcoin equivalent mining output for the first half of 2023, with a total of 947 coins mined representing a 1% increase compared to the same period in 2022. Challenging macro conditions in the cryptocurrency sector stemmed further growth for the group.
London-listed bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain PLC (LSE:ARB, OTCQX:ARBKF, NASDAQ:ARBK, ETR:0XP) has issued a total of 51,340,000 ordinary shares to institutional investors Tennyson Securities at 10p per share. The non-pre-emptive placing raised £5.134mln.
London-listed bitcoin mining company Argo Blockchain PLC (LSE:ARB, OTCQX:ARBKF, NASDAQ:ARBK, ETR:0XP) mined 139 bitcoin or bitcoin equivalents in June, averaging 4.6 BTC per day. This was a decrease of 17% compared to March yields, primarily driven by an 8% sequential increase in the average network difficulty during the month of April.
Valkyrie Bitcoin Miners ETF (WGMI), which provides exposure to the bitcoin mining industry, has gained more than 185% so far this year, becoming the top-performing ETF of first-half 2023.
Argo Blockchain, the cryptocurrency miner, said it mined 173 Bitcoin or Bitcoin equivalents (BTC) in May, roughly 5.6 BTC per day. This represents a 16% increase to the 4.8 BTC mined per day in the previous month, driven by an improvement in uptime and operational efficiency across its mining fleet, as well as an increase in transaction fees, according to a statement.
