SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The RealReal (Nasdaq: REAL)—the world's largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods—today announced that it will release its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2023 after the market closes on November 7, 2023.
The RealReal shares tumbled on Friday on the news its finance chief Robert Julian will be stepping down from his role as the company attempts to return to profitability by focusing on the higher-margin portion of its consignment business. Shares of the luxury resale store fell more than 10% before paring its losses to trade down about 3.6% at US$2.16 in the early afternoon.
CFO Robert Julian said he will resign by January if no replacement is found. CFO resignations are sometimes seen as red flags for struggling companies.
