Management increased the dividend by 4.9%, now above pre-COVID levels, and maintains an A-rated balance sheet with robust liquidity and manageable debt. Near-term upside may be limited due to tariff risks and economic uncertainty, but long-term fundamentals remain solid, especially with potential interest rate declines.
While the December 2024 interest rate cut of 25 basis points may be the last until at least September, it is an excellent bet that the federal funds rate will be lower than today's effective rate of 4.23%, which is already below the long-term average of 4.61%.
