UBS (UBS) reported earnings 30 days ago. What's next for the stock?

The markets may be getting too ahead of themselves that the U.S. Federal Reserve will pull an aggressive rate cut, said the CEO of Swiss banking giant UBS. "I think the market seems to be a little bit too ahead of the curve in expecting the Fed to go so aggressively,"  Sergio Ermotti, Group CEO of UBS Group AG, told CNBC's "Squawk Box Asia.

Barratt Developments PLC (LSE:BDEV) is on course to regrow margins and volumes over the coming years, which UBS analysts expect will prompt a “material” jump in profits by 2030. Margins should reach 18% by 2030 as volumes climb to 94% of 2022 levels, when interest rates began surging in a blow to the housing sector, according to UBS.

UBS is advised to increase its capital reserves by the SNB to prevent systemic failures similar to those witnessed with Credit Suisse in 2023.

UBS is bullish on several consumer stocks for the rest of 2024, according to a new report from the investment bank. Analysts highlighted six companies they believe have strong growth potential, emphasizing what they see as compelling investment opportunities due to their ability to outperform peers, driven by factors such as robust top-line growth (like Colgate-Palmolive), margin recovery and stabilization (Target), record bookings (Royal Caribbean), positive sales momentum (Domino's), and the potential for market expansion (On Holding AG).
